New Foreign Trade Regulations From December  2023

In order to implement the decisions and arrangements of the Party Central Committee and the State Council on promoting the optimization and upgrading of trade in goods, accelerating the construction of a powerful trading country, and further giving full play to the role of processing trade in stabilizing the economy, foreign trade, and employment, the General Administration of Customs has issued a research decision to promote the continued growth of processing trade. Measures are related to quality development. 

 

  1. The General Administration of Customs has implemented measures such as relaxing the time limit for deep processing carryover declarations in processing trade;
  2.  
  3. New 3C certification pilot policy for imported information technology equipment;
  4.  
  5. The registration matters for enterprises applying for certificate of origin with the Council for the Promotion of International Trade are canceled;
  6.  
  7. China announced unilateral visa exemption for 6 countries. Trial unilateral visa exemption policy for ordinary passport holders from France, Germany, Italy, the Netherlands, Spain, and Malaysia;
  8.  
  9. The central banks of China and Saudi Arabia signed a bilateral currency swap agreement;
  10.  
  11. The European Union has adopted new regulations to allow those planning to travel to the Schengen area to apply for a visa online;
  12.  
  13. India revise some standards for medical instruments and electrical products;
  14.  
  15. India decides to impose anti-dumping duties on Toughened Glass used in Chinese home appliances;
  16.  
  17. Indonesia imposes import taxes on bicycles, watches and cosmetics;
  18.  
  19. Thailand imposes anti-dumping duties on Tin Freesteel plates and Steel Sheets Plated or Coated with Tin in both Coils and Non Coils related to China;
  20.  
  21. Thailand issues labeling requirements for personal computers and computer equipment;
  22.  
  23. Philippines cuts Gypsum import tariffs;
  24.  
  25. Myanmar requires food importers to provide mandatory Import Health Certificates.
