Definition:
BOPP tape is based on BOPP biaxially oriented polypropylene film, which is evenly coated with pressure-sensitive adhesive latex after heating to form an adhesive layer ranging from 8μm to 28μm. It is an indispensable product for light industrial enterprises, companies, and personal life.
The country does not have a complete standard for the tape industry. There is only one industry standard "QB/T 2422-1998 BOPP Pressure-Sensitive Adhesive Tape for Sealing Cartons". The BOPP original film is treated with high-voltage corona to make one side of the surface rough. Glue is then applied on it to form a mother roll, which is then cut into small rolls of varying specifications by a slitting machine.
Characteristics of BOPP tape:
- 1. Strong tensile strength. Due to the directional effect of molecules, the crystallinity is improved, the tensile strength, impact strength, rigidity, toughness, moisture resistance, and transparency are all high. The cold resistance of the film is also high, which can prevent leakage or damage of products during transportation.
- 2. The printing performance is good. It can be printed in single color, double color, three colors, etc. It can also print the company's trademark and company name, etc., which plays a role in counterfeiting and improving the company's reputation.
- 3. It has the characteristics of high transparency, good gloss, high adhesion, smooth sealing, light weight, non-toxic, odorless, safe, and good performance and price.
Application of BOPP tape
BOPP tape is suitable for product packaging, sealing and bonding, etc. Different colors have different uses. Transparent sealing tape is suitable for carton packaging, parts fixing, sharp object bundling, art design, etc.; colored sealing tape provides a variety of color options to meet different appearance and aesthetic requirements; printed sealing tape can be used for international trade sealing, express logistics, online shopping malls and other well-known brands.
